Carbon Neutral
HairPeople is the only hair salon in Ireland that has achieved carbon-neutral certification with Tao Climate. Tao Climate worked with us to measure, minimise, and manage our carbon footprint, analysing Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. Our remaining carbon footprint has been effectively offset with Tao’s incredible Hemp Carbon Credits, which actually remove CO2 from the air in real-time. The captured carbon is used to build sustainable housing for people in great need in Ukraine, and the Carbon Credit purchase by HairPeople helps fund a vital housebuilding project for people who have lost their homes in the conflict. It’s a true win-win scenario and we’re proud to be the leaders in this category of sustainability, which aims to eliminate the greenwashing associated with other types of carbon offset schemes.
By the way, greenwashing, which is making false or unscientific claims about a company’s sustainability, is now illegal in the EU.
